Erik Erikson the Scout
Ernie Husted, Jr.

Email Me

Persona: I was born on the Island of Gotland. You would probably call me a "Northman", while others would call me a "Dane" or "Pagan". I was not the eldest son so I had to make my future by my own hand, counting on luck provided by the Gods. I considered becoming a trader and merchant or perhaps signing on for a voyage and colonizing a new land. The problem was that I did not have the necessary funds to start, and it seemed like a lot of work.

I found my future in my ability to use weapons and zeal for combat. I made and lost my fortune several times on campaigns and raids and enjoyed the adventure.

SCA interests: Master Erik Erikson the Scout is a Master in the Order of the Pelican. He founded the office of combat missile weapons (now called Chief of Artillery) for the Middle Kingdom, and the Shadow Dancer scouting program. He was the founding Seneschal for the Marche of Havenholde and instrumental in the founding the Baronesses' Archery Guard.

Warranted archery marshal, heavy weapons marshal, & Master Chirurgeon. I enjoy working in the development and testing of combat archery equipment and melee tactics, plus I also enjoy target archery.

Drea Leed

She currently lives in London, England with her uncle and aunt, keeping an eye on family interests there.

Celia Le Fleur
(Erica Harrah)
Email Me

Persona: Ward of the household of Raven Celia Le Fleur was unceremoniously sold in faux marriage to the wayward Knight Templar John the Black. The events that followed colored her life in shades unknown to most ladies of her time. Following the slaying and subsequent sainthood of her faux lord she found herself penniless. Deciding to turn tragedy into profit she petitioned the Vatican under the name Cecil Fleur to become a purveyor of religious relics. On a pilgrimage to Rome she met up with a band of folks of the most disreputable sort. Actors. A wildly experimental lot, this thoroughly scandalous group of artisans dared to push the limits of societal mores. They actually had women playing the female roles. As she was already a man on paper Cecil/Celia felt it would be no problem to play a woman on stage.

SCA interests: Commedia del Arte (both acting and writing scenarios) poetry, singing, cooking

Syr Gunnar Red Boar

Persona: I was born in the year 1046 in Stiklestad a northern village in the Land of the Norse. My Grandfather Jorg and my father Ulv had fought with the Heathen Jarls and defeated King Olaf and his christian army in the battle of Stiklestad in 1030. At the age of 20 in 1066 I joined King Harald Hardrada in his invasion of England. After our defeat I fought as a Gallowglass in Eire. From their I journeyed to Iceland, Greenland and eventually Vinland. I setteled in the Kingdom of the Middle and now seek to gain honor, glory and fame in these lands.

SCA interests: In the SCA I enjoy fighting in and teaching heavy armored fighting. I practice the arts of Armoring, Rune-cutting and Bardic Poetry and Singing. I am called Spearbreaker, Kingkiller and Dragonsfire, Huskarl to Sir Ullr Vindstygge Tenan of the Great House Stahlgeist "Glory Lives Forever !"

Eoin Drake

Persona: Eoin Drake is a late 16th century Highland Scot who shoots archery for sport and hunt. At 15, after showing much initiative and (surprising) skill, I bought my way out of an unhappy apprenticeship and, for a number of years, traveled the countryside as a cobbler/tinker for hire. Most of my spare time is devoted to the pursuit of Leatherworking in its other many forms. Including the fashioning of pouches, mugs, sheathes, Sporrans, whips, quivers, vanbraces, and decorative tooling. I discovered, not long ago, that I enjoy getting others interested in learning the craft I hold so dear. My hope is to one day found an artisan leather guild. I enjoy a healthy interest in the arts, as well as being a modest singer of "Tavern Tunes". I also have a passion for the culinary arts, both in their creation and their demise. I mostly enjoy experimenting with stews, baking, and desserts in general. My good lady wife, also of the Highlands, stands as muse and companion in this journey through these modern Middle Ages.

Email Me

James Cunningham was born in 1067 in Southern England. My father was on the losing side at Hastings. I became an archer good enough to be paid by the normans, and in later years became a falconer to a local baron. I'm an Archer, Crossbow maker, and Falconer.

Lady Juliette Colleen Rossignol

Persona: Lady Juliette Colleen Rossignol is the eldest of 4 whose parents are merchants and I'm now playing the field of placing her somewhere in the early to mid 1600. She's single but has two daughters (I'm still stuck in my persona's story on that one.), and she'll remain single until I can get my dear hubby, Carl, to give me a medieval wedding as he had promised many years ago. Juliette is also a traveler and has many respects and desires to learn more of other cultures.

SCA interests: I like Medieval Dancing, but I'm not sure if I can participate in it any more due to my bad ankle. I like board games, Chess (not sure if it's period or not) and Goose are my favorites. I would like to get more into medieval cooking and give archery more of a try than what I've already done. I also would love to work more in my skills of making scrolls and calligraphy, both I'm a Novice at, but I've been told I have good potential in them. My SCA interests is open to a wide variety of interest, any time; it's how I got started on the doll making and the natural healing of herbs. Thanks to the SCA, I now have several useful books on natural home remedies and about half of them are related to the Herbal world.

Shortly after birth Birna's mother passes away and is left in the hands of a wetnurse in her father's household. She is the only daughter in a family with five older boys from the her father's first marriage. In the spring of 1056 CE, when Birna was 5yrs of age, her father was killed during a trip abroad. Her eldest brother, having just wed, took over the household and appropriated land holdings for all of the brothers. Birna, being too young, is sent to foster with her mother's kin in the Orkneys. In the Orkney's, Birna is blessed to be sent to foster in a christian Nobleman's household, her mother's brother, with her four male cousins and one female cousin. In 1066 CE, Birna meets a worthy man who she is immediately smitten for. Her family, glad to find a man for her, weds her to Leif Viggaskaldr in 1067CE and shortly after leaves for Byzantium. From that point on, Birna devotedly follows her husband in his search for self betterment. Kuri Minamoto
(Heather Hartman)

Email Me

Persona: It has been barely a single turning of the heavens since the barbarians from over the waters were driven back in their second attack on our islands by the Kamikaze, Divine Wind, sent as proof that we are the chosen people of the Gods. The leaders of the Fukuoka Prefecture in Northern Kyushu are losing their patience with the Kamakura Shogunate. In former wars, the Shogunate had given lands unto the winners of their battles, but as the war happened not on the agressor's soil, but on our own, there were no spoils to be had.

My name is Minamoto Kuri, the second daughter of a minor branch of the Minamoto Clan. It is a time of turmoil for our land, both waiting for the return of the hoards and within our own people. My sister is promised in marriage into the Emperor's family, my father has gone to aid our Shogun. With no male heirs, and my husband dead in the conflict with the barbarians from across the waves, I am the only one left to protect our home and care for my mother and my son. I do not know when it will end, or with whom dead by a brother's weapon. But I do know that it will end there. My sword is my family's, it is all I have to offer.

SCA Interests: Wood working and fiber arts. Japanese history, caligraphy, crafts and games (goh, shogi). Dancing and recipes of any sort! Would like to get into both heavy weapons and archery eventually when time permits.

Lioba Perlschopfier auf dem Cuxhaven (Lietzl)

Lecia Carr

Persona: Born in the summer of 1170, she is named for Benedictine Abbess Lioba, her mothers chosen saint. She is the eldest, and only female, of seven children by oyster farmers on the German shores of the North Sea. At age 13, after her fathers death, Lietzl was taken aboard ship by her uncle to travel the seas of the Western Hemisphere. Through the years, her contact with many nobles and dignitaries has given her a penchant and skill for diplomacy. She is currently counsel and diplomat for her uncle and his expeditionary fleet, and is versed in the sword and archery.

SCA interests: SCA interests include sewing, basket weaving, archery (though at this time a shoulder injury prevents me from participating), and keeping an eye on those fighters.
